Resand enters the U.S. market with its first North American Sand As A Service agreement with ACME Foundry

Resand Ltd, a Finnish technology company specializing in sustainable foundry sand reclamation and circular sand solutions, and ACME Foundry, Inc., a long-established American gray iron foundry headquartered in Coffeyville, Kansas, have signed a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) establishing the framework for cooperation in the United States.

The agreement marks a significant milestone for both companies. It enables Resand to introduce its technology to the U.S. market and lays the foundation for Resand’s first Sand as a Service (SaaS) agreement in the United States. The agreement also supports the future deployment of Resand’s business model and broader ecosystem approach across the U.S. market.

Through the collaboration, ACME Foundry and Resand will develop a circular sand management solution for foundry operations using Resand’s thermal-mechanical sand reclamation technology and service-based business model, supporting the transition from linear disposal practices toward circular raw-material management. The objective is to reduce dependence on virgin silica sand, decrease landfill volumes, improve resource efficiency, and lower CO₂ emissions associated with foundry sand consumption.

ACME Foundry, founded in 1905, is a highly respected American gray iron foundry with more than 120 years of manufacturing experience. Specializing in complex cored castings, the company serves industrial customers across North America and is recognized for its commitment to quality, process consistency, and operational excellence. Through its cooperation with Resand, ACME further strengthens its position as a forward-looking American foundry committed to innovation and sustainable resource utilization.
