Resand Oy appoints Carsten Stölting as Managing Director of Resand Deutschland GmbH and expands its operations in Germany

Resand Oy, a Finnish technology company specialising in foundry sand regeneration, has started operations in Germany in Dusseldorf. Mr Carsten Stölting has been appointed Managing Director of Resand Deutschland GmbH, with responsibility for German markets.

Mr Stölting will be in charge of Resand’s sales and services as well as setting up the operations and organisation to support Resand’s growth strategy in Germany.

Carsten has long experience in leading industrial and service businesses, and he brings with him a strong understanding of the foundry industry in one of our key market areas. With our operations in Germany and the recent Siempelkamp contract, we have now achieved the next level in our plan to build an international business. With Carsten in the team, we can now start accelerating our growth plans,” says Kalle Härkki, CEO of Resand Oy.

Resand’s technology helps foundries to significantly reduce their CO2 footprint and drastically reduce sand-related operational costs at the same time. My first task is to concentrate on building the team and organising our operations to support our plans of offering foundries a new way of reducing their main source of foundry-related waste. In parallel I want to get in close contact with customers and stakeholders, to discuss our unique technology and solution to figure out how it could benefit the customer, society, and environment the most,” says Carsten, Managing Director of Resand Germany.

Resand started its first commercial project outside Finland with the German company Siempelkamp in March 2023. The company also has a production unit promoting research and development with the University of Freiberg. Resand Deutschland GmbH was established in July 2023.
